I am an economist in the World Bank's Poverty and Equity Global Practice, where I work in the Distributional Impact of Policies team for Europe and Central Asia. My work covers welfare measurement, distributional analysis of policy reforms such as energy pricing and tariff reform, and real-time monitoring of household welfare through high-frequency surveys. I am a core team member of the Bank's High Frequency Monitoring program and lead the Listening-to household survey series across Central Asia and Ukraine, with applied work on poverty measurement, survey-to-survey imputation, small-area estimation, and the integration of geospatial and satellite data with household surveys.

My research spans environmental and energy economics, urban and transport economics, and applied microeconomics. I study whether infrastructure, environmental, and social policies improve welfare and reduce pollution, congestion, and climate impacts, particularly in developing and emerging economies, using granular spatial data, household- and firm-level microdata, and causal inference methods. My work has been published in Science, the American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, and the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management.
